Assessment for the Benchmark training course

The assessment for the Benchmark dispensing assistant course comes in two parts:

  • Online multiple choice questionnaires (MCQs)

  • Submission of completed Student Workbooks

Online MCQs

Students that complete the payment and registration form will be emailed a unique six-digit PIN number by the course administrator. This PIN number provides access to the assessment area.

To begin online assessment, students should go to www.chemistanddruggist.co.uk/benchmarktest where they will be asked to enter their six-digit unique PIN number.

When entering a PIN number for the first time, students must complete a registration form. The available assessments can only been accessed when the form has been completed.

If you have lost your PIN please phone 01732 377269 or email pharmacytraining@cmpmedica.com

Students must answer all questions in each exam before using the SUBMIT button to record their attempt. Every student has two attempts at each exam.

Students can use the SAVE button to save their answers to an exam prior to submitting their attempt.

Students can abort an exam without saving their answers by using the ABANDON button.

Remember:

  • Each module contains a different number of assessment questions

  •
  • All questions for all five modules have to be attempted in order to successfully complete the course
  • The pass mark for each module is 80 per cent
  • You are allowed two attempts at each module
  • The highest mark is recorded
  • You need to pass all five modules to pass the course

Workbooks

Once you have successfully completed the test papers for Modules 1 and 2, you must submit Workbook 1 to C+D Pharmacy Projects for assessment. Please ensure you have completed all Workbook Exercises and your supervising pharmacist has marked your work before submitting the Workbook for assessment.

We recommend that you do not attempt to complete the Workbook Exercises or Test Paper for Modules 3 to 5 – though you can start reading the module – until you have received Workbook 1 back from C+D Pharmacy Projects and know that your work has been assessed as satisfactory. Once you have received Workbook 1 back and take  on board any feedback the assessor has provided on your work, you should follow the process outlined above for Workbook 1.

Workbooks should be submitted to:

C+D Pharmacy Projects,

CMP Medica,

Riverbank House,

Angel Lane,

Tonbridge, Kent

TN9 1SE

Certification

The official course certificate will be issued once a student has successfully completed all five module Test Papers and both Workbooks have been assessed.
