NPA claims coalition has abandoned pharmacy White Paper The coalition government has abandoned the pharmacy White Paper as the basis for the future development of community pharmacy, NPA chairman Ian Facer has revealed. Commenting on the June 2010 NPA board meeting, Mr Facer said that an alternative strategy is yet to be fully articulated. "We have requested a meeting with Ministers and hope to inject some urgency into policy development for community pharmacy so that our sector’s potential is not overlooked in these critical early days of the new administration,” said Mr Facer. The meeting discussed developments in health care policy and changes to commissioning arrangements in England, he added. |
