Practice Certificate in Pharmacy Management - Assessment


The Practice Certificate in Pharmacy Management (PCiPM) is a distance learning course that comes in two parts; there are five modules in each part.

 

  • The course is accredited by Medway School of Pharmacy and is included in its Short Course Pathway. The course is supported by an educational grant from McNeil Products Ltd.

 

Completing each Part of the course will earn you 5 academic credits within the Medway Short Course Pathway. Completing both Parts will earn you 10 points.

 

Course assessment

  • Each module contains 20 true/false assessment questions
  • All questions for all five modules have to be attempted in order to successfully complete this course
  • The pass mark for each module is 18 out of 20
  • You are allowed two attempts at each module
  • The highest mark is recorded
  • You need to pass all five modules to pass the course

 

Pharmacists who wish to undertake the assessments and gain formal academic credits for their work should register with the Medway School of Pharmacy by completing the payment and registration form.

 

The cost of assessment for each Part of the course is £60.

 

Online Assessment

 

Assessment for the course will be conducted via an online test on the Chemist+Druggist website. Students that complete the payment and registration form will be emailed a unique six-digit PIN number by the course administrator. This PIN number provides access to the assessment area.

 

To begin online assessment, students should go to www.chemistanddruggist.co.uk/pcipmtest, where they will be asked to enter their six-digit unique PIN number.

 

When entering a PIN number for the first time, students must complete a registration form. The available assessments can only been accessed when the form has been completed.

Students must answer all 20 questions in each exam before using the SUBMIT button to record their attempt. Every student has two attempts at each exam.

 

Students can use the SAVE button to save their answers to an exam prior to submitting their attempt.

 

Students can abort an exam without saving their answers by using the ABANDON button.

 

Certification

 

Upon successfully completing an exam, students will be given the option to print a certificate via the website.

Students will also be given the option to print a certificate upon successful completion of the five modules that make up each Part of the course. These certificates are a personal record of progress and not an official record of achievement.

 

The official course certificate will be issued separately by the Medway School of Pharmacy upon successful completion of all modules in the course.
