As Kim says " The UK has the lowest generics prices in Europe but that's not sustainable" and with all this clawback, the time is going to come when manufacturers will say " hang on, I am making only 10p per pack on this medicine whereas in other contries I can make 30p. So why should I sell in UK?" that leads to shortage. and then they complain about shortage issues. Are they not clever enough to figure out that the shortage issues are created by ourselves by all these clawbacks. The gov talks about increasing jobs in the market but by clawing back £500m, actually they are cutting jobs in one or other way, aren't they?
