The stress cortisol hormone usually increase before menestration leads to increase anxiety 's symptoms. Worries and anxiety may be already exist and to some extent is manageable. They tend to flare up before periods. Also PMS Can worsen other symptoms like migrain and depression, IBS and other physical illnesses.
