Luckily for me I was involved in the training of many pre-reg students.

I saw them develop from student to professional, and many stayed with the company I work for.

So I still get to see them, and count myself fortunate to be in the company of young, enthusiastic, and up and coming pharmacy clinicians!

Some of my old pre-reg even blog now :-)

I dont really keep in touch with my pre-reg tutors, mostly because i did a sandwich course and didnt really get to know each of my tutors as well as i could have in just 6 months.I've not had the pleasure of being a pre-reg tutor myself, but think I would relish in the opportunity. I can appreciate how rewarding being a tutor would be, knowing that you helped somebody right at the very start of their career, and helped shape their practice and decision making skills.

I had the honour of having two really great pre-reg tutors who I got on both with really well! I believe it's best to keep in touch with your pre-reg tutor. I have learnt so much from them during the year and I am thankful that I had them as my tutors. emoticon

I am yet to do my pre-reg year and hope I can learn a great deal whilst I am there! I hope I am able to keep in touch with my tutor too! Sometimes even old school teachers or lecturers you forget about but in reality we do owe them a great deal as most of them helped us along the way and we would not be where we are today with out them!

I`m currently a pre-reg pharmacist and I hope to keep in touch with my tutor.

The role of the tutor is hugely important in the pre-registration year after all they are the one`s that sign you off. As they have guided you through your pre-registration year I think its important that we make the effort to keep in touch, as they can still help and support us in our careers.

I don't see my pre-reg Tutor as she has moved but I do text her now and again. I do see my pre-reg co-ordinator more often though and pop into the pre-reg branch when I can.
