GPhC plans to slash fees 10%

I wouldn't use the term "slash" for what is a modest but welcome reduction. Typical media hyperbole!

Hi Phillip,

Sorry if this headline created any confusion – we used the word “slash” as the GPhC previously only changed fees by two per cent, so we wanted to get across that 10 per cent was a larger shift than we’ve seen previously. Thanks for your comments.

Kind regards,

I wasn't confused. I can work out the magnitude of the reduction for myself, as I am sure most pharmacists can. I just don't think the use of tabloid-type words, such as slash, are appropriate.

Apologies for the tabloidesque hyperbole. 10% is quite a cut, but perhaps just 'cut' fees 10% would have let the numbers do the talking
