I think all contractors should risk the £500 and ask for a re-check of all months for he entire period. We spend a lot more time sorting and separating prescriptions than was the case a few years ago. That extra work has never been accounted for. This £20 million compensation is a joke when we are having another c.£140million ripped out of our profits in the coming months.

I'm getting every month checked currently. The last 6 months have averaged out at £600 a month so I would definately agree with Harnek that it is worth the risk.

As a former Prescription Services employee I'd urge every contractor in the land to get everything checked. They will bully you into thinking you might lose money-you won't. The CIP system doesn't work. It never has. And it never will. The accuracy figures are hardly startling and these are regularly manipulated anyway. They are at the point where contractors may as well go to their offices in Newcastle, Wakefield and Bolton and process their own payments. "put your expensive items in a red seperator to assist with accuracy" translates to "can you tell us which items are expensive and which aren't because we haven't got a clue unless YOU tell us".
The management are desperate to put the organiastion into private hands and get rid of its employees, the majority of whom are wholly inept and will struggle to find future employment when they are put out of their misery, but alas they keep hitting road blocks. Make them pay and show them up for the incompetents they are!
