Is anyone listening out there? I cannot understand why the supply of medicines is becoming so devalued. All we hear is funding pressures and a swing towards service based remuneration. When will people appreciate the number of prescribing errors and near misses prevented by pharmacists on a daily basis due to GP errors? More pressure on pharmacy dispensaries will equate to more mistakes and less vigilance. What is the value of a life in these circumstances? 1st priority should be having the supply service valued properly and then adding on services and remunerating them. I feel for NI Pharmacies/Pharmacists. We're all under the cosh!

I think many will resonate with your comments. Dispensing is some how being viewed as almost valueless . I never thought starting out 20+ years ago, hoping for my own pharmacy that such a scenario could ever come to pass.

Services will not finance properly on their own.And cutbacks bring pressure and potential for catastrophic error.Of course there must be someone to blame...oh yes the RP !
