Would you be able to compare these figures with the to tal number of new medications prescribed. Somone would definitely be doing this, and they will discover how low the percentage would be. Unless the target and payment methods are sorted out, I do not think this so called success will last longer.

IMO the three stages of this service.
1. A rush to do the first six NMS to claim the £750 (confirmed- see PSNC report above)
2. Up to march- Try to reach the minimum 20% target for definite payment (maybe possible) NMS remains steady.
3. After april- now have to reach the minimum 40% target -(very unpredictable) NMS drops as pharmacists pursue more reliable incomes.
PSNC- Dont you see, the only thing that will make this great service a failiure is the payment structure- go back to the NHS and make them see sense!
