I like the idea of a GP and a Pharmacy next to each other ~ means loads of issues can be fixed almost immediately.

Not if you still have to get past the GP's receptionist. It is not the distance between GPs and Pharmacists that is the problem, it is getting past the receptionist to talk to the GP.
