Well this doesn't surprise me at all . I didn't receive a renewal notice and there are no reminders sent . This year also they bought forward the date by which one had to pay . Fortunately I work in a hospital and not in isolation and heard my colleagues talking about their reminders .and so paid in time . How simple would it be to send out reminders either by registered post or other signed for courier , and to send an email reminder . Goodness we pay enough for the privelege of this registration .

I agree with Val...after all my car/house insurance, car tax and even TV lisence people manage to remind me when I neede to renew and I pay a lot less to them (maybe even as a combined total)..

Once again a Registration Body shows the arrogance of "You Need us To Earn A Living and will treat you like DIrt, but you will comply to whatever we demand of You" attitude, which was so prevelant at the Old Pharmaceutical Society. With all the Electronic Gadgetery and means of communication, it should not be beyond them to send reminders. Also the Pharmacists can help by setting up Direct Debit arrangements to pay for the fees once a Year or Monthly as options provided by the Council, thus never missing the payment Deadlines. They still will need to Submit a Fitness to Practice Declaration in time. This is your Livelyhood, and you need to take some responsibility to renew in time. A Diary date or a reminder on Smart Phones (which most Pharmcist I know have) is not too much to ask!! We all need to pay our part, but a more helpful and approachable attitude from The Council would help as well.
