It would be interesting to see funding proposals from Pharmacy Voice / NPA independently of the PSNC who frankly have let us down. Whilst we should all realise austerity measures have certainly been against the PSNC, NMS payment structure is an example of their shortcomings. Category M also causes unacceptable fluctuations in funding which most other "businesses" would not be able cope with. Something has to change but any more overall funding cuts really will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Reward for outcome is a positive step as long as remuneration for dispensing does not reduce as a consequence. The costs associated with dispensing are on the rise so further reductions would be unacceptable.
