Ex-Boots chief Andy Hornby joins Pharmacy2U as non-executive chairman
Internet and mail order pharmacy Pharmacy2U has appointed former Alliance Boots group chief executive Andy Hornby as non-executive chairman.
Andy Hornby replaces Keith McCullagh, who has chaired the board since the company's inception in 2000. Mr McCullagh will remain on the board and actively involved in Pharmacy2U.
Daniel Lee, managing director and founder of Pharmacy2U said: "The imminent transition to electronic prescriptions across the NHS represents an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy2U, and Andy's insights and leadership will be of significant value in helping us meet the challenges ahead while continuing to provide excellent patient care."
Mr Hornby left Alliance Boots last year (2011) after two years in the post and became chief of Coral bookmakers four months later.
