Personally, I don't think the act of going to university to learn and improve oneself should be stopped by a system such as UCAS. If you get a job at the end of it or not is really up to the person. Just means excellence will be required, which is never a bad thing, is it?

Though the influx of extra pharmacists means there will need to be more flexibility in the structure of a pharmacy. When you think of the possibilities the only limiting factor ends up being the same thing that is always the case. Money,

It is all a bit of a mess to be honest and we will all just have to deal with each situation as it arises. Anyway I have seen pharmacy lurch from one issue to another potential catastrophic event over 30 years and don't intend to start panicking about it now. The point may well be influenced by other demographic factors and like other graduates many may use pharmacy as a first degree to move on to other professions. It won't be easy but it is all beyond the control of individual pharmacists. All I can say is Good Luck Folks! Keep your pecker up!

I agree with the views of the student body on this. However the student body is looking out for it's own neck here, despite riding the high moral horse. They will not be able to find jobs when they qualify, and it's not 'slowly saturating', it's already very saturated, kids.

And finally, the student body should be aware that the way they view those A-Level students 'flooding the market' is exactly the same way we qualified pharmacists view them. You are all, whether university or A-Level students, a threat to our market.
