Would the department of health like to comment on the NICE guidlines for neuropathic pain which failed to include gabapentin in the guidance and included pregabalin; what would be the cost be if we had automatically switched all patients to pregabalin; it has been almost two years and these guidlines are in review. Decision to prescribe should still remain locally although it could be part of national NICE guidlines.
