SIGN launches latest diabetes guidance

New guidance on the management of diabetes has been launched by the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN).

The guidance covers lifestyle interventions, psychosocial issues, and the pharmacological management of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The management of cardiovascular, kidney and foot diseases in patients with diabetes, as well has guidelines on how to prevent visual impairment and manage diabetes in pregnancy.

The guidance was unveiled at the Diabetes in Scotland Conference earlier this week.
