Belfast pharmacy scoops migraine awareness award
A Belfast pharmacy has won a Nurofen Express award for its campaign to help migraine sufferers.
As part of Migraine and Headache Awareness Week in September, Nurofen manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser (RB) and charity Migraine Action distributed 5,000 “activation packs” to help pharmacists create “eye-catching displays” and offer advice to patients.
Harrison Healthcare received this year’s award for the best in-store campaign on October 31, and the judges praised the Belfast pharmacy’s “efforts and commitment [to] using a combination of displays, employee training and Facebook posts”, RB said.
Migraine Action chief executive officer Simon Evans said he was impressed that many pharmacies had “engaged with patients, [to] discuss treatment options and advise on correct dosage” for migraine and headaches.
