Capita customers can request ‘goodwill payment’ for failings
NHS England has set up an email address for contractors to request “goodwill payments” if they have suffered from Capita failings, PSNC has said.
The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) said it has been “escalating concerns” from contractors who have suffered from their dealings with the services provider, “as well as seeking remedial action, compensation and a route for contractors to raise issues with NHS England”, it said last Friday (April 7).
NHS England wrote to the negotiator to “set out such a route”, which would “in effect” act as a “claims system for contractors who have been detrimentally affected by Capita’s primary care support services”, PSNC said.
“NHS England has said that inquiries sent to the email address will be logged and acknowledged. Claims will be appropriately reviewed (by local teams if necessary), seeking further information,” PSNC added.
“NHS England may then reject them or offer appropriate goodwill payments to contractors.”
Pharmacy owners should send their Capita concerns, such as late payments – along with evidence of their losses – to [email protected].
More information about what information contractors should submit can be found on PSNC’s website here.
