About this course |
What do I need to do?
There are two parts to the course: 2 Assessment (online at www.skillsformurs.co.uk)
Learning Materials will be delivered to the address you use to register, and cost £35+VAT. Online assessment costs £65+VAT. Both can be purchased – either separately or together – at www.skillsformurs.co.uk
The learning materials are in two parts, contained in one folder:
Both Parts 1 and 2 of the learning materials contain self-assessment questions and MUR case studies, enabling users to check their understanding of the topics covered. Both the MUR Handbook and clinical modules provide a valuable and easy-to-use reference source to keep in the pharmacy.
The Assessment requires students to successfuly complete three MUR case studies. Each case study includes a patient history, patient medication record and a video clip of a pharmacist conducting an MUR with a patient, and must be completed within 40 minutes. For more about the assessment and to try a sample case study go to www.skillformurs.co.uk
How will I benefit?
Successful completion of Skills for MURs will result in the pharmacist being awarded a Practice Certificate from the Medway School of Pharmacy. This Practice Certificate is worth five academic credits, which can be used towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacotherapy and Service Development as part of Medway's Short Course Pathway.
