C+D to run half marathon to raise money for Pharmacist Support
Five C+D employees will be running the Richmond Half Marathon next month to raise money for Pharmacist Support.
To drive donations for the charity’s Go Green campaign – which runs from September 25 to October 31 – C+D editor James Waldron, business development manager Adam Smith, senior digital media coordinator Kristien Hinde, finance business analyst Rob Hunter and digital and content director Nigel Vincent will take part in the half marathon on November 4.
Pharmacist Support was also the chosen charity at the C+D Awards 2018, where guests donated a total of £1,940. In August, C+D’s Adam Smith sky-dived above Salisbury plain to raise money for the charity.
C+D editor James Waldron said: “We knew we had to do something big for Go Green this year, so what’s better than bringing together employees from across the C+D brand to race around south-west London on a cold November morning?”
Speaking on behalf of Pharmacist Support, marketing manager Kate Westbrook said: “We were thrilled to hear that team C+D had taken on a group challenge for #GoGreen4PS this year.
“James and his team have been very supportive of the charity over the years – sponsoring our first London Marathon cheering squad, raising awareness and funds at events and also throwing themselves out of planes. Their support really does mean a lot to everyone here at the charity – from the users of our free and confidential services right through to our volunteers, trustees, staff. We can’t thank them enough.”
