Pharmacy London CEO Rekha Shah is one of the delegates at tomorrow’s webinar on England's national scheme
EXCLUSIVE
A GP will join representatives from NHS England and a London contractor organisation for C+D’s flu service webinar tomorrow (September 30).
London GP Mandeep Baveja is the latest addition to the lineup. He will join NHS England head of immunisations Kenny Gibson, Pharmacy London chief executive Rekha Shah and contractor Amish Patel to debate England's national service, which launched earlier this month.
The C+D webinar – funded by Actavis and chaired by C+D editor Jennifer Richardson and news editor James Waldron – will be broadcast live online from 3-4pm for readers to listen in, quiz the panellists and share their own thoughts.
During the webinar, C+D will be unveiling the results of a series of polls on how delays to the rollout of the scheme and relationships with local GPs have affected the service delivered by pharmacists.
During her time as chief executive of LPC consortium Pharmacy London, Ms Shah oversaw a city-wide flu campaign that vaccinated more than 100,000 patients last winter.
Earlier this year, Mr Gibson highlighted the success of local pharmacy flu services as proof of the popularity of delivering vaccinations through the sector.
C+D will be gathering readers’ views in advance; if you want to share your thoughts or have a question you’d like us to put to the panel, please email [email protected] with the subject line ‘Webinar’, or tweet us @ChemistDruggist using the hashtag: #pharmflu
