Health Initiative of the Year

Why Enter?

This award combines the two previous award categories of Public Health Initiative and Clinical Service of the Year. With the nation facing a raft of ticking healthcare bombs, public health and clinical services are at the heart of the NHS, and pharmacists are central to delivering them.

Whether you provide, for example, public health services such as a substance misuse service, an anticoagulation clinic or palliative care, or clinical services such as smoking cessation, diabetes screening or flu vaccinations, it goes without saying that your service has to be well-executed. But it also has to demonstrate that it meets a local health need – so tell us how you identified the need and how your service met it. And, most importantly, tell us how your service has made a difference to your patients – whether it’s cutting GP appointments or hospital admissions, increasing access to services or improving health outcomes.

Who can Enter?

Any individual or team that has delivered a public health or clinical service with a community pharmacy component. Please note that each entry must be specifically tailored to the relevant criteria and the same/similar entry cannot be submitted for two categories (email [email protected] for hints and tips).
