Day Lewis, DLTV

DLTV is a simple but effective way to communicate to the pharmacy teams. A succinct video is created providing updates on everything from internal processes to training the teams on CPCS or even optimising home deliveries. There is also an area that showcases kind messages from patients, gifts received and stories of saving lives. Feedback from pharmacy teams is very positive, with many stating that it's really motivating and that the information is more easily absorbed.

Medipharmacy Group

Throughout 2020 and 2021, Medipharmacy invested significant resources, including staff training, workflow implementation and senior management time to ensure the automated hub-and-spoke operation ran efficiently.

Now, 10 of the 22 branches are benefitting from the SynMed ULTRA robot installed at the hub – which has three times the capacity of the previous robot. It is accurately checking blisters dispensed and hleping free up time for staff to perform more clinical services. The group aims to eventually roll the hub-and-spoke operation to all branches.

Nicklevale (Kents Pharmacy), branch revamp

A pharmacy that was not fit for purpose for the COVID-19 pandemic underwent a major refit to push forward clinical services within the community. Services such as dermatology, minor ailments and vaccination clinics have been provided throughout the pandemic in the two, well-ventilated consultation rooms, to reduce the burden on GPs and increase patient accessibility to vital healthcare services. With multiple pharmacists in the team providing different specialities, Kents Pharmacy has increased patient and healthcare professionals’ awareness of pharmacist capabilities.

PharmaPlace

PharmaPlace was created to more effectively bring retailers and independent suppliers together. Normally, a buyer must go to suppliers individually to setup an account and order, but PharmaPlace brings suppliers to one place to allow retailers to improve their OTC offering and without the need to setup accounts with each individual supplier. This free platform for pharmacy owners helps them adapt to the changing retail environment, there is no charge to retailers, nor any margin added to the products.

Well Pharmacy, Click & Collect

With the rapid growth of distance-selling pharmacies, Well’s patients provided the multiple with feedback that when they required urgent medication the current distance-selling pharmacy model was not suitable. Innovation within pharmacy underpins all the activities and the ethos of Well Pharmacy and with this challenge identified by patients, the multiple set about delivering a click-and-collect solution to enable the option for patients to collect their prescriptions from any of the 560 Well branches across the UK.
