What is cystic fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited genetic disease that affects multiple organs, including those in the respiratory, digestive and reproductive systems. It occurs prevalently in the Caucasian population, with approximately one in 2,500 babies in the UK born with the disease.
