
Mr and Mrs Perkins, an elderly couple in their late 60s who have been pharmacy customers for many years, come in for their regular prescriptions. While they are waiting, Mrs Perkins calls you in the dispensary saying her husband looks “a bit odd”. When you go out to look at Mr Perkins you see that he is standing slightly awkwardly. You ask Mrs Perkins about him and she tells you he says he is seeing double.
On further questioning, you learn that Mr Perkins has felt confused and had difficulty with his co-ordination earlier in the morning. He has a history of cardiac issues, with a non ST- elevated myocardial infarction that happened five years ago, and since then has been prescribed aspirin
