A campaign to help pharmacists engage with Scotland's gluten-free dispensing pilot has been launched by Glutafin.
As part of the campaign, the manufacturer created three online CPD modules for coeliac disease, accredited by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
It also ran free events in Edinburgh and Glasgow this week to educate pharmacists about the gluten-free scheme, said Glutafin, which has sent free support boxes to all Scottish pharmacies.
The boxes contain a coeliac disease reference book, promotional window stickers, a sample from the manufacturer's gluten-free range and a full product list.
Katie Kennedy, company dietician for the Dr Schär institute for coeliac disease, which owns Glutafin, said the campaign would give pharmacists the confidence they needed to deliver the pilot with "the greatest success".
Pharmacists should visit drschaer-institute.com to access the CPD modules.
