Keep in touch

The pre-registration year is one of the most important for any pharmacist, writes Babir Malik. But how many people maintain contact with those who helped shape their career?

The pre-registration year is one of the most important years of your whole pharmacy career. It shapes how you practice. Your pre-registration tutor is a significant part of that, as are the support staff.

Hopefully, you got on with the tutor. Their job is to guide you to becoming a competent pharmacist. You do learn a lot from the staff too.

The branch may see many pre-registration pharmacists come through but how many keep in touch? When was the last time you spoke to your pre-registration tutor or contacted your old branch? Did you get on with them? Will you current pre-registration pharmacists keep in touch?

Do you know a great pre-reg pharmacist?
