Do you report adverse drug reactions in your pharmacy?

Community pharmacy is in a prime position to help patients with adverse reactions to medicines and devices, but how often do you report them to the MHRA?

C+D is investigating the level of reporting to the MHRA’s ‘yellow card’ scheme. We would be grateful if you could take the time to answer the following questions, to help us better understand this issue.

What role do you think community pharmacy has in reporting adverse drug reactions?

It's actually been a while since I've seen an ADR that can be reported via Yellowcard. The last one was Orlistat back when that came out and Alli was a trendy thing.

having the confidence to act and knowing that it is a helpful interaction are key.

If someone reports a ADR we go through with them and ask prereg to upload on Yellow card scheme.
