The results are in: is the white coat due a comeback?

"Some people supported my cause – even posting their white coat selfies"

C+D's clinical editor has led the charge to reinstate this classic piece of clothing

Last week, I posed a question: should we bring back the pharmacist's white coat?

I gave several reasons why I believe this time-honoured piece of uniform deserves a comeback, and then I took to social media to lead the revolution, armed with the hashtag #WhiteCoat.

So how did it go? Although some people supported my cause – even posting their white coat selfies – others were staunchly opposed to the idea.

In an effort to get a better sense of whether the white coat should return to the high street, I teamed up with the anonymous author of the legendary Dull Pharmacy Tweets to get some 'scientific' data on whether I was barking up the wrong tree.

You can see the poll results, as well as my highlights from the #WhiteCoat debate, below:

Will you be wearing a white coat to work?

Who cares?

Just make the effort to look smart and professional.

Thanks for your comment. As many of our users are not using twitter, we thought we would bring you the best bits from the online discussion. Has this post tempted you onto twitter?

Thanks Kristoffer. Hasn't quite tipped the balance yet - though one of these days I'm sure I'll be tempted to see what all the fuss is about!

Don't bother Val.  An echo chamber for people with NPD or SJWs !
