Update Plus FAQs
How do I find CPD materials on the C+D website?
You can access C+D’s CPD materials from any part of the website site by clicking on the ‘Learning’ tab on the navigation bar at the top of the page. The ‘Learning’ menu has three options:
Update Plus – This will take you to the Update Plus landing page, which lists C+D’s recent CPD modules and other learning resources. You will need to be logged in with an active subscription to read these articles in full. If you are not a subscriber, you can try a free trial of Update Plus or purchase online by clicking here.
My CPD – This takes you to your personalised dashboard, which holds all of your recent module activity.
Buy Update Plus – If you wish to purchase or renew a subscription to Update Plus you can click this option. Note: You will need to be a registered user and logged into the site in order to purchase.
How do I print out a module?
Once you have selected a CPD module you can access the module as a print-friendly PDF, which includes the five-minute test. The download link is blue and is always situated at the top of the article, below the summary of the module’s contents.
How do I get my certificate for completing the CPD module?
When you have read the CPD module and are ready to take the 10 question true/false exam, click on the large blue button at the bottom of the article title. ‘Take the exam’. You will then be directed to the exam questions page.
Note : By clicking ‘take the exam’ you are using one of your two allowed exam attempts, so it is important to make sure you are ready.
Once you’ve reviewed your answers, click ‘Submit quiz’. If you have successfully answered eight or more of the 10 questions, you can access your certificate by clicking on ‘Complete logsheet later’ at the bottom of the page. This will take you to your learning record, where you can access and print your certificate.
Downloading your CPD log sheet
You can download a logsheet for any CPD module you have passed, or you have failed twice. Visit the ‘learning record’ (see previous answer’ and click ‘PDF Log’ in the ‘Log’ column.
The contents of the logsheet are intended to act as the basis of your planned or unplanned learning entry for your CPD records. The examples C+D has provided should be used as a guide for your entry only. To meet the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) ‘revalidation’ criteria you should always add in specific information relevant to your own practice and learning needs – you can add this into the space provided on the editable PDF sheet. Following this, you can copy and paste the contents into the CPD entry portal on the General Pharmaceutical Council’s website at www.mygphc.org/revalidation.
Note : You are responsible for completing the logsheet PDF and then storing it in a safe place on your device. C+D will not store any information entered into a PDF logsheet. You are responsible for submitting all of the information you enter into your PDF log to the GPhC.
