Half of pharmacists think High Court will not reverse cuts
Forty-six per cent of readers believe the pharmacy funding cuts in England will not be affected by the High Court challenge, a C+D poll has revealed.
104 readers out of 228 who responded to a poll, conducted on the C+D website between March 23 and April 3, believe the High Court will not reverse the cuts.
However, 43% predicted that although the cuts would “not fully” be reversed, “we might secure some concessions”.
Only one in 10 expect the case to result in the cuts being reversed completely, the poll revealed.
The High Court heard cases from the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the National Pharmacy Association last month (March 21-23). The judge has not yet reached a decision.
The conversation around the case
I'm concerned that #CutsInCourt will be a big thing in our world, but won't get the wider publicity needed to embarrass the DH into change

Respect due to @NPA1921 & @PSNCNews for taking the government on. Massive undertaking. This is for every pharmacist & patient.

I've seen one of unintended consequences #pharmacycuts #CutsinCourt. 100 hour #pharmacies no longer viable must still give 6 months notice.

Community pharmacy #cutsincourt described as unprecedented. No one knows how many pharmacies will close - least of all the Government!
