Another 9 items receive concessionary prices for May
The Department of Health and Social Care (DH) and the National Assembly for Wales have agreed concessionary prices for the following nine items for May 2018 prescriptions.
An initial 20 items received concessionary prices on May 18, followed by another 30 items announced on May 22.
Commenting on the latest price concessions, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) said it continues to be "disappointed" with the DH's announcements.
"Medicines supply and pricing issues continue to put enormous and unreasonable pressure on community pharmacy contractors," PSNC director of pharmacy funding Mike Dent said. "We are disappointed that once again this month the DH has imposed prices on a number of lines at lower levels than PSNC had sought."
