Updated: Jeremy Hunt to remain as health secretary
Following Theresa May's reshuffle of the cabinet, Jeremy Hunt will keep his job contrary to previous reports suggesting he would be replaced
Update, July 15:
Pharmacy Voice has called on Jeremy Hunt to "stop speaking of untapped potential" and work with the sector to "agree a plan for delivering its ambition to help the NHS meet growing patient need".
"It’s time to change tack; let’s take this opportunity to develop together a more positive and progressive role for community pharmacy," the lobbying group said.
Pharmacy Voice added it hoped the new pharmacy minister, who will be replacing Alistair Burt, would "be ambitious enough to engage in genuinely open discussions".
Update 13.20, July 14
PSNC chief executive Sue Sharpe has said the negotiator will be using its "growing evidence base" to ask Jeremy Hunt and the new pharmacy minister to "take a fresh and positive approach" to the sector.
"Our experience to date has been that Jeremy Hunt has not been responsive to the strong support for community pharmacy seen through the campaign," Ms Sharpe said.
