The C+D Awards 2016 have opened for entries, with new categories for pharmacy staff and innovation in medicines optimisation.  

C+D can also reveal that the event is moving out of London for the first time.

The ninth annual event will take place on June 15, 2016, at five-star hotel and golf resort The Celtic Manor, set in the Welsh countryside and boasting three 18-hole championship golf courses.

Community pharmacists and pharmacy teams have until February 19 to submit their entries. The shortlist will be announced in C+D magazine and on this site at the beginning of April.

The two new categories are Pharmacy Staff Member of the Year and The Medicines Optimisation Award.

For Pharmacy Staff Member of the Year, judges want to hear from assistants and technicians who play a crucial part in their pharmacy team.

The Medicines Optimisation Award is aimed at individuals or teams working for a community pharmacy who have had a significant impact on helping patients get the most out of their medicines.
