C+D is this week publishing the results of its investigation into crime in UK pharmacies to reveal how the sector is battling against shoplifting, robberies and violence.  

In a series of blog posts and news stories published on C+D's website and newsletters this week, we will reveal our findings from more than 50 Freedom of Information requests submitted to police forces across the UK.

We asked the police for data relating to cases of shoplifting, burglary and violent crime in pharmacies in 2012. We will be comparing those figures with similar data we collected in 2011 to reveal the country's crime hotspots and which areas have seen a rise or fall in break-ins and theft.

	We will also produce a map of crime incidents so you can see what effect they have had on your area.

As well as the numbers, we have spoken to pharmacists about their own experiences and gathered the sector's top tips on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.
