This year’s Clinical Pharmacy Congress will take place on September 24-25 at the ExCel centre in London, and “will be the perfect time to celebrate the hard work the pharmacy profession has contributed, in dealing with the pandemic”, the team behind the event has said.

“An abundance of caution” is behind the decision to postpone this year’s congress, “as well as an understanding of how much pressure the healthcare sector in the UK is under”, the CPC said.

The ExCel centre has also been converted into a mass COVID vaccination centre, it added.

“The ‌team‌ ‌is‌ ‌excited‌ ‌to‌ ‌deliver‌ ‌a‌ ‌fantastic‌ experience‌ ‌in‌ September and it is our‌ ‌priority‌ ‌is‌ ‌to‌ ‌ensure‌ ‌all‌ ‌of‌ ‌our‌ ‌delegates‌ ‌have‌ ‌the‌ ‌opportunity‌ ‌to‌ ‌gain‌ everything ‌needed‌ ‌for‌ ‌their‌ ‌revalidation.”

To help with this aim, the team will host its second virtual event – CPC Live – on May 12-14, which will give pharmacists the chance to listen and interact with industry speakers, take part in drop-in clinics and engage with exhibitors “from the comfort of your home or practice”.
