Manufacturer Clinova is promoting its range of ORS hydration tablets on the London Underground.
The £500,000 campaign launched on September 1 and will run on every underground line for 12 months, Clinova said.
The “eye-catching” adverts carry the strapline “Keep hydrated – take the tube” and appear inside train carriages and alongside escalators, the company said.
Transport for London data from 2013 suggested that almost 80% of passengers look up information or buy a product after seeing adverts on the city’s tube network, Clinova added.
ORS hydration tablets come in lemon, blackcurrant and strawberry flavours.The soluble tablets contain a “scientifically-balanced formula of electrolytes, glucose and minerals for optimal hydration”, the manufacturer said.
A pack of 12 tablets retails at £4.99 and a pack of 24 tablets at £6.99.
