Concessionary prices agreed for 8 pregabalin strengths
Eight strengths of pregabalin have been included in the fourth concessionary price announcement of September.
The prices range from £7.50 for 56 25mg capsules, to £12 for 84 200mg capsules, the Department of Health and National Assembly for Wales announced yesterday (September 25).
The new pregabalin prices come a month after the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee said “hundreds” of reports from contractors about disproportionate pricing had led to pregabalin being granted an initial concessionary price.
Pregabalin entered category M in August, a month after it came off patent for the treatment of neuropathic pain.
The latest concessionary prices are listed below, with initial prices for the month announced on September 12, September 15 and September 20.
