The online calculator will help pharmacists work out how much revenue and gross profit one or more clinical services could generate for their premises, PharmaDoctor said in November.

The tool uses information on possible services, the number of pharmacies that will offer them, and the forecast for patient demand, combined with PharmaDoctor’s “data from pharmacists offering these services”, in making its prediction.

The website also offers the option of ordering the service packages, as well as advice on the training that pharmacists would need to complete to be able to offer each service.

PharmaDoctor will help pharmacists promote their services through marketing support, it said.

PharmaDoctor CEO Graham Thoms said: “Our profit calculator tool demonstrates the potential for each pharmacy to generate up to £800,000 new revenue.”
