The changes, which took effect from April 1, have been made in order to consolidate the company’s supply chain while still offering a choice of wholesale supplier, ConvaTec said.

They will result in a "more efficient supply chain" while retaining "high levels of service" for customers, it added.

ConvaTec stressed that this change only affects community supply, which includes retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy and dispensing doctors.

The ostomy range includes colostomy, ileostomy, and urostomy products.
