Cost of Service Inquiry overruns
The cost of service inquiry has not yet been completed by accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, despite an expected delivery date of mid-April.
Contractors involved in the inquiry had originally been given a March deadline to complete questionnaires for the accountancy firm. But C+D understands this deadline was extended to April 23.
The firm is not now accepting any more forms, but has yet to deliver results. PSNC said the data capture was “almost complete” but that the collation of such a large amount of data had inevitably been a complex process.
In February C+D revealed the cost of service inquiry had covered topics such as services offered, employees, owner income and work, premises and assets, future plans and financial information.
Experts said the questionnaires seemed comprehensive and predicted the inquiry would show there had been funding deficiencies.
