A training package on the causes of chronic heart failure has been launched by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education.

The programme is made up of two booklets and an online assessment.

The initial booklet also covers treatments and tips on self management that pharmacists can recommend to aptients.

The second booklet uses a case studies to aid learning.

The package could help pharmacists boost prospects for people living with heart failure said Fionnuala McCullagh, learning development pharmacist at CPPE.
