Crosscare launches Milkaid products for lactose intolerant adults
Crosscare has launched two Milkaid products to help lactose intolerant adults to consume dairy items.
Milkaid tablets – which launched on April 6 – “help prevent symptoms in lactose intolerant adults such as wind, bloating and diarrhoea”, Crosscare said.
The raspberry flavoured chewable tablets are “the first of its kind”, the manufacturer claimed, and should be taken just before consuming any food containing lactose, “to improve digestion”.
The other product in the range – Milkaid drops – “can be added to milk...to reduce the lactose level by up to 99%”, Crosscare added.
Dietician and registered nutritionist Judy More said: “Using a product to lower the lactose load is an easy way for people to be able to enjoy and benefit from everyday dairy products.”
Crosscare global marketing director Sharon Skelton added: “This range has received great feedback from those who are lactose intolerant.”
A 15ml bottle of Milkaid drops retails at £15.99, while a pack of 120 Milkaid tablets retails at £12.99.
