Diazepam tablets stolen in Ulverston Boots burglary
A Boots store in Ulverston, Cumbria has been burgled, with 250 diazepam tablets stolen in the raid, police have reported.
Offenders smashed a window to gain access to the property on Market Street and stole the tablets along with perfumes and electrical items, Cumbria Police said.
The burglary occurred between 2.30am and 5am on Friday April 1, the police added.
Cumbria police has warned patients of the dangers of taking stolen prescription drugs and the force has appealed for information on the burglary and the whereabouts of the stolen tablets.
A Boots spokesperson confirmed the burglary had taken place. "We are currently helping the police with their investigation," they said.
