Danielle Hunt joins from the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, where she worked for 10 years, most recently as operations director.

During her time at Keep Britain Tidy, she helped it move away from a financial model reliant on government support and become an independent, self-funding body, Pharmacist Support said yesterday (January 16).

Steve Lutener, the new chair of Pharmacist Support’s trustee board, said he was “delighted” Ms Hunt had joined the charity.

“Danielle’s experience will ensure that the profession’s independent charity continues to move forward with confidence,” he said. “She has proven leadership qualities and service development expertise, which will prove invaluable in the future.”

Ms Hunt said she was excited to lead the charity through “its next phase of development”.

“I look forward to working with the staff, volunteers, the board of trustees and others in the sector to develop the organisation and ensure we continue to support pharmacists and their families in the best way possible,” she added.

Ms Hunt will start her role on January 23. She replaces Ms Leicester-Hallam, who left Pharmacist Support in September to take the role of director of member services at the Pharmacists’ Defence Association.
