Galpharm expands nicotine replacement range with gum

Galpharm has added a peppermint-flavoured gum to its nicotine replacement range.

The sugar-free Nicotine Replace gum is available in two strengths, 2mg and 4mg, and complements the brand’s nicotine replacement lozenges, it said.

The 2mg gum is suitable for people who smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes a day, while the 4mg gum is aimed at those who smoke more, Galpharm said.

The gum is designed to be chewed slowly – and with regular pauses – for about minutes to allow the nicotine to be released gradually.

“Nicotine Replace helps stop or reduce the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal, which can help smokers to quit,” said Ruth Giles, Galpharm’s brand marketing manager.

“Both the gum and the lozenges contain the same active ingredients as branded alternatives, but at an affordable price, meaning that smokers can spend less to kick the habit.”

Both strengths of the gum retail at £9.99 for a case containing 96 pieces.
