The regulator’s governing council made the decision at a meeting yesterday (March 8) for “renewal fees for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises [to] remain at current levels for the 2018-19 financial year”, the GPhC said.
It means fees will remain at £250 for pharmacists, £118 for pharmacy technicians and £241 for registered pharmacies, the regulator confirmed.
Registration fees have been frozen at the current level since 2016, when chief executive Duncan Rudkin said the GPhC would reduce its operating costs in order to keep fees at their existing level.
