GSK launches £3.9m Beechams flu capsules campaign

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has launched a £3.9 million marketing campaign to promote its Beechams all in one capsules in time for the cold and flu season.

The “Boss it with Beechams” campaign for Beechams Max Strength All in One capsules – which launched last month and runs until February 2020 – includes adverts on billboards, TV, social media and radio, GSK said.

The capsules have also received new packaging to “drive visibility on the shelf”, the manufacturer said.

They contain paracetamol, guaifenesin and phenylephrine hydrochloride, to relieve cold and flu symptoms, as well as the pain and congestion of sinusitis, GSK continued.

GSK brand marketing manager Emily Fox said: “The campaign will drive awareness by keeping the brand front of mind during the cold and flu season.”

One eight pack of Beechams Max Strength All in One capsules retails at £3.14.
