GSK launches flip-top cap for Voltarol 100g 2.32% gel
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has redesigned the cap of its Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 100g gel (2.32%) to allow patients to open it in one click.
The new flip-top packs, which have replaced existing ones since last month, offer the advantage of being easier to open – making the product ideal for those experiencing pain in the joints of the hands, GSK said.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 100g gel (2.32%) contains the active ingredient diclofenac diethylammonium and has a “special formulation” that helps the gel “deliver up to three times more diclofenac through the skin compared to Voltarol 1% gels”, according to the manufacturer.
“Community pharmacy teams are in a unique and trusted position to play a bigger role in frontline management, helping support joint pain sufferers to live a fuller life. At no extra cost, the new cap on Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief is easy to open, requiring no gripping or twisting to achieve all-day relief,” GSK expert marketing manager Lisa Phillips said.
Voltarol 12 Hour Joint Pain Relief 2.32% gel in 100g retails at £15.58.
